HOD’s Message

Department of Mechanical Engineering incepted in the year of 2002 with an intake of 60 which has increased to 180 progressively. The department also offers Post Graduate Course M. Tech. (Design Engineering). The department has also recognized as PhD Research Centre of SPPU in year the 2012. Department has signed an agreement with Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar for Curriculum Development of B. Tech & M. Tech. The Centre of Excellence in Robotics & Automation have been established in association with Tata Automation Ltd. (TAL), Pune. The Department also have the Centre for High-Speed Machining equipped with CNC and VMC. Department has well balanced combination of experienced and well qualified faculty members along with the young, dynamic and competent leadership. Department has full-fledged laboratories with state-of-art Experimental Facilities and are armed with the recent software which are highly demanded by the employers. The Department of Mechanical Engineering always has its emphasis to impart the quality education considering the recent trends of current industrial Scenario to make them capable to meet the employers’ needs. The Department has good interaction with International Universities such as KMITL, University Petronas, Malaysia, University of Malaysia, Pahang. Faculties and Students are actively involved in Reputed Chapters and Clubs for overall development.
