The department of Information Technology at JSPM's Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering is established in the year 2001 with intake of 45 seats which has been increased to 120 seats in year 2017. Open Source Lab

Description:
Linux Laboratory equiped with all advanced required hardware. All computers are well configured with required opensource softwares. Practicals of data structures, operating systems, cloud computing etc. subject are conducted very smoothly in the lab. Students are free to surf internet for educational use.

Multimedia Lab

Description:
The Multimedia Laboratory are multi-computer teaching facilities dedicated to integrating creative technology with teaching and learning . We provide software, equipment and support for the designing and developing of web pages, developing the software applications and developing applications based on multimedia components like graphics, video, animation, 3D fabrication and sound.

Self-Learning Lab

Description:
The Self-Learning Lab offers supplemental learning services and resources for currently enrolled students. Our services include peer and faculty tutoring, assistance with test preparation, access to computers and printers and online computer-assisted learning programs. This laboratory is a Lab as a Museum where different hardware components are kept sothat students can have better idea.

Features:
The lab is opened for grooming the self learning ability of the Engineering students. The lab is having special arrangements like a WiFi where different hardware components are arranged in such a way that students will easily grasp the concept.

Artificial Intelligence Lab

Description:
Digital Electronics Lab has various types of microprocessor, micro controller trainer kits along with interfacing modules to demonstrate the detailed applications of microprocessors. The purpose of this laboratory is to train the students to be familiar with the software and hardware of microprocessors so that they can gain enough experiences to meet the demand of the microprocessor era and principles of combinational and sequential digital logic design and optimisation at a gate level.

Features:
The lab is having well equiped set of hardware components that are required for the students of computer Engineering. DELD & Microprocessor are taught in this lab.

Student’s Association

About Department

SAInT (Student Association of Information Technology Department) is an IT department student association of R.S.C.O.E. This association arranges various social events, seminars, workshops etc. This association works for students only. It is responsible for overall development of students and their contribution to the society. This is totally operated by students and teachers are there for support. Few energetic and cooperative students are nominated and selected as coordinators for different activities. One student is overall I.e. SAInT coordinator and there are few more posts like treasurer, student coordinators, secretary, co-secretary, advisory board members, ISTE coordinator, CSI coordinator etc. The moto of the association is to organise different kind of activities by the students and for the students. Teachers help them to organise these activities. Association makes sure that each activity is useful for academic improvement or to contribute something for society goodness.

Activities of SAInT:

  1. Social events like tree plantation, blood donation, health checkup camp, dental checkup camp, fruit distribution to orphanage/old age home, cloth distribution to needy peoples, traffic awareness etc.
  2. Seminars like patent filing, career development, testing, latest technologies, trends in IT companies, etc.
  3. Workshops like latex workshop, java development workshop, microsoft training workshop, IoT workshop etc.
  4. Departmental events such as IMPACT (state level technical symposium), INNOVISION(National level technical symposium).
  5. Competitions as model making competition, movie making competition etc.

Program Outcomes

Engineering Graduates will be able to:

1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
